Almost late night (Tuesday) we received news from Abg Zahar stating that Segamat dah naik air, meaning air banjir dah naik ke paras jalan, which means Tanah Perkuburan sudah ditenggelami air. We were sad hearing it but there's nothing we could do about it.

Then we saw it on TV, how bad the situation is and read it from newspapers...."Fenomena 100 tahun" first thing comes to mind, Allah tak perlu tunggu 100 tahun nak turunkan bala

It is the worst flood ever hit the district (in fact the whole state of Johor). According to Abg Zahar both bridges tenggelam....memang tinggilah air naik and for sure jalan menghala ke selatan terputus. Though our house is situated on higher ground, air dah naik juga hingga ke paras tebing, maybe ada less than 10 metres nak kena rumah. Rumah Kak Kamal belakang, air dah paras bumbung. I can imagine the areas that would be worst hit....all the villages along Jalan Muar, Kg Jawa, Kg Tengah....senang cerita all areas around Sungai Segamat. Abg Zahar juga kata banks and government offices tutup.

I do hope all our family and friends are safe there.
